Porcelain Drop Earrings - Clare Butler Ceramics
Couldn't load pickup availability
These porcelain earrings are lovingly handmade with care by Limerick based ceramicist Clare Butler. Each piece is hand cut from slabs of porcelain, painted with underglaze, decorated with a sgraffito technique and rubbed down, before bisque firing to 1060 degrees. Then it is painted with a second underglaze and a final layer of transparent glaze is applied to the surface, and fired again; this time to 1280 degrees. When the work emerges from the glaze kiln it is ready to be fitted with its sterling silver findings.
Porcelain piece 2cm in diameter on fish hook findings.
