Etain Hickey 'Norah Hoult'

Etain Hickey is a ceramic artist and gallery owner in Clonakilty, Co Cork. Born in Dublin and studied in Dun Laoighaire School of Art & Design, her pieces are created from her studio in Rossmore. In her handbuilt and thrown ceramics she explores her love of colour, patterns and textures using rich glazes and lavish decoration techniques incorporating gold. Her love of icons, oriental rugs, block print fabrics, Islamic art & architecture, painters such as Matisse, Chagall, Modigliani and Frieda Kahlo comes through in her works.

This piece is a part of her 'Inspiring Irish Women' collection, which was created to celebrate International Women's Day.
