Time, Tide And The Memory Of The House

The exhibition of new work celebrated Hughie O'Donoghue's strong affinity with and love of his Irish identity and Irish history. The paintings take, as their subject matter abandoned homes, situated in the landscape of Mayo where he grew up, and which has personal significance or resonance. Reflected in the paintings are memories of a childhood visit to Inis Oirr, one of the Aran Islands off the West coast of Ireland, and of his mother's birthplace in Erris, County Mayo.

52 pages and 25 colour images. The exhibition ran between December 2019 and January 2020.
